IMVU Peer Review Automation: Countdown Timer & Semi-Automate

My goal in releasing this script is to encourage more participation in IMVU peer reviews and to simplify the process for active reviewers. By automating repetitive tasks and including a countdown timer to prevent rushed reviews, this script aims to speed up the peer review process for everyone. While there are other similar scripts available, I wanted to offer one that not only functions effectively but also addresses the issue of reviewing too quickly, thereby potentially accelerating the approval of (everyone's) products if enough users adopt it.

This script doesn’t fully automate the peer review process, as the goal is to ensure that users still provide legitimate reviews for products. While it aims to streamline and enhance the review process, there may be areas for improvement. For example, it’s worth investigating whether time spent in the 3D viewer contributes to IMVU's cooldown timer. I welcome any suggestions or contributions in the comments to help make the script more efficient, and I will update it accordingly based on your feedback.

Yeah.. Unfortunately there isn't. Like I said there are plenty other scripts like this, But I intended to improve efficiency and functionality over the other scripts that are available. Hoping enough users adopt this to make a noticable impact for everyone's peer review times. I'll also be uploading it to other sites as well such as OpenUserJS, Github, Etc in an attempt to increase visibility.

It may only work in brave browser, As explained in the description on the link provided. I had the same issue with my HTML injector for product pages.

Took a look at the code for security reasons, I don't see anything sketchy about so everyone should be safe using it.

I hadn't heard about the MutationObserver, I'll have to read up on it a bit more. Being able to monitor the dom without a using a timer or some other h4c|< sounds really useful.

ChatGPT is awesome. Even if you know how to code; Honestly i'd suggest having it make things for you sometimes. Never hurts.. You might learn something :) Pitch your wildest ideas to it and see what happens. Sometimes you have to prompt it in a certain way for it to get the result just right; but for me personally i find chatgpt extremely useful.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree here. I am philosophically opposed to using AI to automate code generation. Excluding assistant features in my IDE, such as autocomplete suggestions, I only use it as a teaching supplement when I'm struggling to understand a library or language feature.

I wish I could fully automate the process, but I know that would lead to a lot of incorrect votes. I personally don’t want that for myself or users of my script. Plus, the timer is actually IMVU's cooldown timer. There might be a way to bypass it, but I’m not sure how that would work or if IMVU would notice. I made this script in a way where i'd assume it's safe and doesn't really break any rules. Best way we could improve it's efficiency is verify that time spent inside of the 3D viewer is counted towards the cooldown. If so, implement time spent in the 3d viewer into the timer for the script.

Supposedly, reviewing products helps your own pass peer review faster, but I’m not sure how many you need to review for it to make a difference. It’s probably not a set number. As for how many times you can peer review in a day, there seems to be a limit, but I did 150 the other day without being stopped.

I also attempted to implement a peer review counter per 24hr, But it wasn't counting properly. This would also be useful, as if there is a limit to how many products you can review per day, We could have it perform another action to notify the user that they have done their maximum amount of reviews for the day.
