So, I am waaaay late to this,(12.5 years late actually smh) but better late than never I suppose. This is gonna be a bit long (considering how many years I've been a member), so please bear with me so apologies in advance if I bore anyone lol.

About Me
Outside of VU stuff, I'm a Help Desk Technician most of the week. In my down time, I always enjoy a good novel or ebook particularly wuxia and such, and can also be found occasionally gaming, or drafting up a script of some sort to simply certain daily proccesses at work or home. If not that, may also be found RPing sometimes as well.

My History With the Mafias

I joined this wonderful family back when I was just 15. Looking back at it now, its pretty crazy because I see that my 'VU journey had just begun. I had just started on VU 4 months before joining here, and I've been a member ever since. I didn't know a lot at that time, and was pretty much new to everything. For me, I think this website was the first of it's kind that I ever came across, and I was pretty intimidated by everything but excited at the same time. (I still remember spending over 10 minutes sometimes over the years on the expired password reset screen trying to recall passwords I hadn't used when making a new one lol)

I didn't know much back then but I loved spending a lot of time back then checking out the *use codes, trying to find credit earning methods and glitches that could potentially crash the client or find unusual rooms and such. Thinking about it now, I'm chuckling at how excited I was upon finding the use codes for some of the vip actions, the "free" included clothing, avatars, and stuff like the 2Go Phone item (Still have that saved as an outfit for the occasional memories, and shits and giggles lol)

I've always had a strong and burning desire to learn how to automate whatever I could in VU, and also tear it apart to look at everything in detail. I also used to always think about how I could remove certain inconveniences brought in using the software, or supplement certain things, and would often dig through the log files looking for useful data then exploring where those leads took me, before jotting it all down. And I still do.

Many times I would get a great idea but be unable to implement it because of my skills which were lacking in the coding department. So instead, I'd end up mapping out multiple pages of everything that would need to be done, and hope one day I could do it. Or I'd stumble through the painful way, going step by step using google and trial and error until I had gotten somewhere. I actually just managed to recover all of my old notes and findings on API data, log experiments, RegEx stuff, and code snippets from my wrecked laptop hard drive from years ago, yesterday. Which is nice, really nice. As I can finally start working on some ideas again without starting from scratch. And looking through my notes, I see there are ideas which have since been made into services now, like the hidden outfit viewer for chat rooms, and other stuff that isn't out there yet, or could be improved upon, so plenty of work to be done ^^

Overall, I've been more of a lone presence on the site, often forgetting to even log in, until recently. I'd find API related stuff on my own, but not know where to post about it or who to bring it too, or even how to go about turning the information into something tangible or usable. But, I do wanna say. I got to work with DM twice personally years ago on things I had found, so that's pretty cool imo :D Definitely was exciting, being able to contribute meaningful input towards something that was previously unknown. Also got a better understanding into some things, which is always good. But yea, you could say I've always had a knack at finding information given a starting source and suggested tools, then finding ways of bringing it all together, a researcher of sorts perhaps.

Current Skills
As of the moment:
    Some research and development skills.
General experience with programming flow control and scripting
Some experience with AutoHotKey and making GUI's
A strong passion to develop tools / services to contribute to this family through supplementing users VU experience, or provide additional functionality
Finding bugs. One of my strengths, for sure :kat_emoji13:. Searching code, and this website in particular, for unintended and overlooked bugs

For those who read through all of the above, or at least tried to, thank you so much for hearing my story. I hope to eventually be able to share my ideas, inspirations, projects, and completed solutions with you all!

@Xacto

Welcome Xacto,

It's been a pleasure thus far interacting with you. I appreciate the bug reports, still working my way through them. Only have one left to finish which I will be doing today at the start of the work day.

I bet you'd find our Coding forum interesting, especially the Autoit forum. Would be nice to see some increased activity in there. I've posted a few IMVU related scripts in there over the years.

Your passion for learning is admirable and already proving quite fruitful. I look forward to seeing what you'll bring to our community and hope we'll interact more in the future.

Gosh, right now its all wuxia webnovels and xianxia. I'm actively following a couple things including
    Completed
A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality
This is my current mainstay while I wait for ongoing novels to come out with new releases. Loving it entirely.
    Nine Star Hegemon Body Art
Daily 3 Chapters. I swear I can't get enough and sometimes have to force myself to wait 2-6 days when a major plot scene happens, so that I can ensure I'll be able to binge it all in one sitting.
    Genius Detective
Backup Mainstay. Great Characters, good plot, almost like a police crime movie with good jokes and all.
The Regressed Demon Lord is Kind
Backup Mainstay, will read if i get tired of current mainstay
    Invincible
Binge Read. Novel is ongoing, so I'll usually wait a couple weeks or months till there's about 400 chapters unread before binging over 2-5 days.
    Emperor’s Domination
Not an active read but always there if i ever got bored of everything else.

Finished Titles:
    Warlock of the Magus World
Good stuff
    I Shall Seal the Heavens
Also good stuff, one of my earlier reads
Rebirth of the Thief Who Roamed the World
VRRPG, not to bad but author left some ends untied and could of finished stronger. Felt a bit rushed
    Martial World
Good novel decent pacing, worth the read over time.
    Divine Throne of Primordial Blood
Been a minutes so i can't really recall anymore, but I LOVED the development. MC is freaking crafty as all hell and is one of those logical heavy thinking scheming MC's. Totally worth a read.

Stopped midway / never finished:
    Desolate Era
Not sure why I stopped, but its a total banger. is completed already too. Chracter development, world building, cultivation, plot, everything, freaking solid. Another novel I need to start over from scratch and start reading again xD
    Against the Gods
No reason, just caught up, moved to something else, put this aside, and forgot about it entirely. Decent worldbuilding, plot story and so on. Worth picking up.
    Wu Dong Qian Kun
It's been too long and I forgot why I stopped. Was totally badass tho. Probably gonna start over from the beginning some day.
    Immortal Devil Transformation
Starts off kinda slow and steady, does justice to worldbuilding and character development, arcs don't get boring and actually puts you in the story. Really good and worth a read. Only stopped because I binged about 100 chapters in a day and needed a break (that I never came back from lmao)
    Perfect World
Decent read. Been so long I honestly forgot pretty much everything about it. But I did binge it, so it was on the above average side I'd say.
    Upgrade Specialist in Another World
The author messed me up with a arc midway where the MC had amnesia and didn't have awareness of their prowess. Basically made them dumb. Was REAAAAALLLLY good and strong starting off tho, so totally worth the read if you wanna see where it goes.
    Martial God Asura
Ooof Stay away. STAY AWAAAAAAY. It used to be nice when I was last reading it some time ago, but it just went to shit no lie. One person really described it well, and it's just bleh "As you read further and further into the novel, you could literally change the names, places, and cultivation levels a little, and that would practically be the same as the author's next arc." So yea, don't go near it xD.

All of those novels can be found on Wuxiaworld.com although with the new system in place, any of them that are considered completed will require that you pay karma (which is free and earnable) to unlock chapters past a certain point. (This doesn't apply to ongoing novels however) So usually I'd switch to another site at some point lol to keep reading for free.

As for some others that are not on that site.
Active:
Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God
Think this has top place, and if not top place than no lower than third place in the rankings on boxnovel.com. VRRPG novel. Nuff said. one of my dailys or bidailys
Top Tier Providence: Secretely Cultivate for a Thousand Years
A lovely novel, MC is the cautious type that would rather spend his life away for the perfect GACHA roll (so to speak) before starting his life on the path of cultivation. I can't do this justice so go look it up cause yet another novel, on daonovel, that's quality good shit. Made me stoked when I found it.
    Unrivaled Tang Sect
An alchemy/pillmaking oriented cultivation novel. BY ALL MEANS, worth a read. Is currently ongoing. I read on Novelfull.com
Inactive/Stopped Midway
    Martial Peak
Solid rock solid novel. Only stopped because I wanted to save up a few chapters. (And ultimately ended up not reading the novel for the last year+, still have an open tab in my browser so i come back to it one day tho. DivineDaoLibrary.com)
    Super Gene
Pretty good shit. just haven't gotten back around to it atm cause everything else has kept my attention lately. Also have an active tab in my browswer for it.
A Stay-at-home Dad's Restaurant in an Alternate World
12/10 (Yes you read it right) reccomendation for those who want a novel that combines a once legendary figure with a quest to become the worlds greatest chef.... Seriously. IT'S GOOD SHIT. Has comedy, realism of characters, growth, development everything. Only reason i stopped this was to wait for a bunch of chapters to hit before binging.
    Versatile Mage
JOLLY GOOD SHIT FAM. Jolly good. We're talking a normal dude suddenly thrown into a parallel world that has magic, monsters are the dominant rulers of the world except for a few human inhabited areas, and he has to find his place in this new world. MC has SUCH a good sense of humor, reasonable righteousness, and determination to defend what's important to him, and is always working to make himself stronger. REALLY good stuff no doubt.

Completed:
Lin Fan - A Valiant Life
Honestly would recommend this to anyone looking to dip their feet. Doesn't have any cultivation or anything like that, just follows the life of Lin Fan, a man who has to complete challenges in life presented to him by a system. And let me tell you something. I cried when the novel was over cause damn was it so good. D:

There's some other stuff I'm probably forgetting but I'll just add it in later if need be. That should be able to give you a good gist of what's on my daily digest lmao

Yes actually. Rebirth of the Thief Who Roamed the World, Upgrade Specialist in Another World, Super Gene, Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God are all considered litRPG's I think. I don't intentionally seek it out however. There's so much, I just happen to come across it usually.

You found this site when you were pretty young, and pretty fast after finding imvu itself. You got some nice skills, and, lol, bugs can make Data blow a gasket. :awesome11:
Well hai fuzzy face, what are you doing out of your pokeball lol? :pokeball14: :awesome22:
