Hi,
I love imvu honestly its been 8 years since ive joined. But im here concerned for myself. There are people who you can trust in imvu and somehow there seems to be other people who are trying to leech out everything in every possible way. And you just get that nagging feeling that youre being used.
Other than that imvu has been an escape for me these years on and off.

Hello, welcome. This is what IMVU often feels like: you don't trust anyone, especially because you don't see the person physically. So, you can't pick up on gestures or attitudes. In real life, it would be a little more obvious to decipher if someone wants to play tricks on you. But it's like in real life: there are good people and bad people.

trust is a rare and dangerous thing on imvu.folks you know for nearly a decade will turn on you and the new smiling face thou tempting cant ever be trusted
. renember they are real live humans not charactors in some video game . they can turn on a dime on you. one bad rl day cant make a friend or a love one turn on you like lightning... its a unstripted soap opera.. free style life. no real ties no real loyalty. besides 50% of players dont count anything in imvu as real including you..... so trust naaah .

yeah im being harsh. but over 17 years on imvu. i have seen rl folks hiding behind avitars. turn in to cruel petty selfish savage narcissist beasts that have none what so ever care or compassion for anyone but for there selfs. so you can understand why im like how i am. on this issue

Welcome to our community Peaches. As others have said, it is indeed hard to find people on IMVU you can trust. The few I have met have turned into people I talk to outside of IMVU. It's like I've always said though, IMVU is what you make of it. Some times you just need to carve out your own little space for yourself. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing or wants you to do.

For example, I use IMVU solely for developing products that are a bit higher quality and harder to load than your average products. IMVU recommends against this and pro devs will tell you not to do this too. But I don't care, I mostly make these products for myself to enjoy in my own rooms that I also dev and I'll tell you what, despite others telling me not to do it, I have made over a million credits selling those products with barely any effort in advertising them.

So just do whatever is fun and makes you happy on IMVU.
