Heya all, I'm not really new to IMVU, but I've only recently gotten more involved with it.

I havn't delved into IMVU coding, but I work in web development, so I know my way around PHP, HTML and JS. If you think I can help out with anything, feel free to ask. I also have lots of Linux experience, so I could help with questions concerning that as well.
Sadly, I don't know Jack about Graphics Design or 3D modeling.

I like to get naughty in chat, which obviously is why I found this place. ;) I'm currently checking out the sexy options in the market, but I'm still slightly confused - do I need PRB items to use in my private room (with other people, of course - where's the fun in being alone), or only for publicly accessible chat rooms?

Check out our programing/scripting sections and see if there's anything you can contribute too or anything that gives you ideas for stuff. viewforum.php?f=97

If you're gonna use them in public rooms, stick with PRBs. If not, I'd still stick with PRBs though you don't have to. PRBs help keep a product from being caught by IMVU staff or people who report them.

Welcome to the mafias. Our site is a great opportunity to become more involved with IMVU.

Fantastic! I am working on adding more HTML tutorials to our site this very night. If I have any linux questions, I will be sure to run them by you. We have an entire section of our site devoted to linux, which could use some love.

Sadly, I don't know Jack about Graphics Design or 3D modeling.

Neither do most people on IMVU. Personally, I think knowing how to code on IMVU is much more useful.

I would go with PRBs in any type of setting. PRBs are simply a smart choice. Not only do they avoid detection by IMVU staff, they are more often updated, so their quality is much higher.

Thanks a bunch for your warm welcome, guys!

I reckon to use the items sold here, I'd have to have a dev account, don't I? I wasn't planning on getting IMVU VIP :(

Unless you have access to a grandfathered account. If not, you can always purchase a month long vip account from me. More details here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9207

That would make sense :)
I'm not really planning to delve into graphics and 3d, it's just not my cup of tea and I'm always happy that I can specialize in other stuff at work ;)

Is there any section in the boards with coding or linux questions that I could work on? I'm so new to the game that I don't know what readers would be interested in.

Hey D.M.,

I already browsed those boards, but didn't find any open questions or running projects. Is there perhaps anything someone else who is code savvy has been thinking of doing, but never got around to?
Or a missing feature that would be of general interest which I'm not aware of, since I'm still a noob? :)
