I refuse to disable my account privileges or account settings because of someone who has no life then to try to mess up my day. Just block them and move on and enjoy your time on your game.

Amen. IMVU gives you the controls to make deleting this messages a trivial task. There's nothing you can do to combat the spam, it's no different than spam emails or spam phone calls.

I had seen a youtube video which showed how to target accounts for phishing. I think incase of IMVU they just go to comments/likes section on discover and send out messages to people that have commented/liked the post, so if your following discover posts liking/commenting on them then there are high chances of getting this messages.

I reccommend blocking on sight said accounts, or at least just deleting the messages so you don't missclick on one of the links by mistake.
These accounts are ussualy disabled by imvu after a short while because pople report them.
