If I'm understanding what you want to do correctly, you would need to merge the bone into the skeleton and made sure all the ids and attributes are correctly set up.
It would be much easier to let Studio do it for you though.

All avatars should already have Female03MasterRoot. It is the root bone of any avatar in IMVU's system. The client you are using does not affect that.

It the name of one of the nodes within the avatar's skeleton. Nodes are points that creators can attach stuff, scale, or animate. This specific node, the root node, is the very center of the avatar, and when you do stuff to it, it affects all other nodes at the same time.
