What are the basics of creating? I only knows how to derive from a product and I don't understand any terms like xrf, chkn and meshes and all , what are these and if we wanna derive from scratch how should I start, and what is the most easiest and convenient tool in creating stuff? I have seen many designs on internet If I wanna make those designs how should I do it?

xrf - stands for XML Reference File. You can read our xrf tutorial here: viewtopic.php?f=165&t=9115

chkn - a chkn is a type of file archive. It uses zip compression. The files a chkn contains includes CAL3D assets and an index.xml file.

meshes - a mesh is a 3D object. IMVU utilizes XMF's (XMF Mesh Files), which is a CAL3D mesh format.

and if we wanna derive from scratch how should I start

Room? Furniture? Clothing? Accessory?

what is the most easiest and convenient tool in creating stuff?

I use notepad++ and GIMP for most things.
