Granted but you will forget the lessons learned and be doomed to repeat your mistakes thus reforming said memories.

I wish to be free of the torment and anguish.

Granted but every day you live free from torment and anguish your closest relative and or friend will gain the torment and anguish you once had, which will make your experience with them extremely uncomfortable considering they're always complaining about it.
