The theme is controlled by CSS files.

You can find them in your IMVU appdata folders.

Navigate windows explorer into the IMVU appdata folder.

Use the windows explorer search box to search for:


^^ Which will give you a full list of the css files.

IMVU actually use to sell client themes in their catalog pre-2008. No idea why they stopped. You use to be able to upload your custom theme and sell it though, which was really cool.

Warning up front, don't edit anything that's not a CSS or image file, unless you know what you are doing. Some of the security that's in the client is there to detect client hacking and you can trigger it by editing the wrong files incorrectly. Proceeded with caution if you go outside of the CSS and images.

I'm going to take advantage of the topic to ask a question, I'm going to advance that I don't understand anything about css, but the question at least in theory is easy for those who understand, I would like to know how to change the imvu icon that is on the taskbar to something different.

Search for the file with extension .ico


This file contains the taskbar icon. Replace the file with another ico of the same name. ICO are image files that contain an icon.
