CHKN Texture Extractor

The CHKN Texture Extractor is a command line utility that extracts textures from your local IMVU product files (CHKNs).

It is designed to save you time by automating the process of extracting textures from lots of local project files (chkns).

Simply drop the program into any folder with chkns, launch it and it will extract the textures from each one.

Doesn't IMVU give you the texture files when loading your chkn file to imvu? What is the difference in this extractor? I am curious as to of what all it does?

The difference is this program can do hundreds of chkns at a time and is quicker then loading them in create mode.

I'm not sure if i'm missing something or not, but where do they extract? I can't seem to find the folder.

The go into a folder in the same place as the extractor exe. So wherever you downloaded it to.

Thanks. I guess the chkn files I had wouldn't export any textures, hence why I couldn't find the folder. LoL.

Yeah, the chkn probably belonged to a derived product who's assets come from the parent.

I just really wanted the textures back, my hard drive crashed and had to get a new one. Lost everything. I was able to retrieve some though with the Cache Converter. That's a GREAT tool! I opened up the product in create then retrieved it with the app. It's all good. The CHKN app is very handy ass well though. Good work!
