Alternative Credit Storage Methods Discussion

Well as many of you may or may not know, Imvu has placed a new policy in motion. As of Nov 2, when you make purchases in the catalog, it will deduct real credits BEFORE promo creds, instead of the other way around like it use to. The official announcement can be found here: Imvu Forum Post.

Now some of us may save our real credits to sell & many of us may not make enough sales that produce real creds & instead gather up developer tokens, also like myself. This means we have to wait long periods of time before selling our creds since as far as I know, most sites only accept a minimum of 5k credits (I could be wrong).

This means that's if you have any real credits, you can no longer purchase stuff until you get enough to sell. This causes a problem for me since I usually have 10k predits or more at any given time that are unusable.

So, lets get a discussion going of the best way to store these real credits & still be able to buy items with predits. Of course, you can send them to an alt account, however, you have to be a developer to sell credits to most sites that I know of, so this means I'd have to transfer them back. Now, other than the 5k transfer limit, does anyone else know of any limitations, such as how many times you can transfer a day?

Post any and all ideas about storing creds here please.

So sending them to an alt account or storing them on a credit reseller account are the only 2 ways? Well this sucks.

How does storing them with Anshex suck?

I don't like leaving my creds in the hands of others and praying they will always be there when I need them again. I guess if it works, then cool, but I wouldn't want to rely on their system for keeping records of who stores what. That's just my personal preference though.

I was hoping there would be some work around or h4c|< or just some other method I hadn't heard of yet to get around this new policy.

You think it's possible to somehow modify the url used to purchase items for cheaper and tell it which to use instead? That would be something awesome. Or maybe some JavaScript magic.

It depends on if the change is client side at all, or if there is something client side telling IMVU where to take the credits from.

Hmm, I'll take a look into it after finishing up these products.
