How to take "hiresnobg / hiresnap" pics in shop?

I want to take pictures in shop without having to purchase the products, for editing.
I know it can be done on IMVULite. However IMVULite is not available right now, so is there another way to take pictures
in the shop? Greatly appreciated if anyone knows how to bypass that. Thanks.

No, there is no other automated way. The default client contains code that blocks taking pictures in the shop. Without a custom client you are shit out of luck.

Closest you are going to get .... load up a white room into the shop and manually take a screenshot. Then manually upload the image to your IMVU album.

Myself and Datamine just had a meeting last night and drew up a battle plan for updating IMVU Lite. We are still looking at another 2 - 4 weeks until release though.

Got this from reddit that might help for the moment, it should emulate the *hiressnap function:

So simple, you will be killing yourself that you didn't know sooner. Just putting this out there to hopefully stop all these "Free 4k screenshots" posts asking for donations.

Can be done in 5 easy steps

STEP 1 Open Nvidia Control Panel

STEP 2 Go to "Manage 3D Settings"

STEP 3 Turn DSR Factors to "4.00x (native resolution) & Apply

STEP 4 Go to "Change Resolution"

STEP 5 Select 3840x2160 & Apply

For AMD GPU there is something similar but it requires an extra software installed : Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

1) Start CRU
2) Add a detailed resolution (note that the first detailed resolution will be your monitors standard resolution)
3) Set timing to Automatic - Best for LCD (if you have an LCD of course)
4) Enter your custom resolution and refresh rate
5) Press OK
6) Press OK again to apply your changes and exit CRU
7) Reboot

The only other thing thing I could imagine fixing the issue is rewriting the hiresnobg and hiressnap functions to work externally of imvu, that would be an useful app to have.

I'm happy it helped. taking pictures in imvu is one of the features I love about it, so I was a bit bummed when I heard they removed those functions for people that don;t afford to buy all the products and T.I.M clients gave that back to me, made imvu fun again, so I'm just trying to share the feeling
