What did they do in the beginning?

Hello everyone, i wanted to ask about your experience when you first started on IMVU. When we start playing a game, we usually don’t spend money right away and make do with what we have.

I’d love to hear how your entry into IMVU went in this regard. How did you manage at the beginning?, They spent the imvu gift credits on the first thing they saw?.

Now I’d like to share my personal experience. When I joined IMVU in 2013, I remember receiving 4,000 credits. The first thing I did was head to the IMVU store, and since I had no idea what to look for, I just picked the items that appeared on the first pages. They were basic accessories and items that didn’t even change the hairstyle; it was like a child being given a variety of things and picking the first one they saw. That was my initial experience.

Later, IMVU offered free credits for logging in for seven consecutive days, and I continued searching for very basic products, desperately trying to add meaningless accessories to my avatar.

In 2016, I returned to the game with a new account. This time, I started experimenting with different looks, although they were nothing extraordinary, they resembled normal avatars. After watching YouTube tutorials and using images as references, I managed to create my first avatar and felt truly comfortable with it.

On a personal note, after losing my 2016 account, I rejoined the game with an alternative account. I copied one of my favorite looks from my previous account using FindVU. Here’s where it gets interesting: since returning with my new account, I’ve stopped creating new looks and have stuck with the same avatar (face, skin, and hair). The only thing I change is the clothing.

Sometimes I wonder why people are so obsessed with having numerous different avatars. Some manage to have almost a thousand avatars, which seems crazy to me.

I recommend that you look on YouTube, there is literally everything you need in IMVU, from how to customize an avatar, to creating, editing your homepage, everything

I joined in 2014 and fell in love with the game almost immediately. I used to spend hours in chats, making avatars and making new friends. Most people have moved on now and honestly so have I. I log on to create products and moderate my rooms.

If now I am the same as you, I only go in to create clothes or collect points for the creator tier and that's it, on the room side, I have spaces to create, but it never caught my attention, is there any benefit to having a room or not?

Well it looks like I'm a newbie. I joined in this year's March with some of my friends. We knew what kind of game is Imvu but we didn't play it until this year. We paid and paid and enjoyed our time for days without sleep. Now we're chill players.

Good bro, being aware and calm in a game is the best, especially if it involves expenses; from personal experience I know people who can't be without credits because they get depressed, imagine that level lmao

I'm "sorta" the same way, in that I have to have some amount of credits in my account so I don't feel really poor. I'll never spend them, even after months, just hold them so I have like an assurance of sorts lmao

Meh. It was honestly very boring at first. But then I started meeting new people everyday. It got fun. Tbh I’m addicted to it now. Like I log on daily. Its really cool. Like when I first started out it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. But then slowly it got better with time. I’m honestly expecting to meet more awesome people who share their experiences with me. Can’t wait to become a social freak on imvu.
