you need to deposit them in the bank and draw intrest.

Do you mean your previous medits was 10836? If so go click on your medits on the right hand corner…click on the lottery…..you will see your name there and click…..that will update your medits. Normally it updates by itself….try it! Congratulation!

You're good. The lottery awards all of the medits that were in the pot to whoever wins. Most of the time this is between 2,000 and 11,000 medits depending on the number of players and tickets bought. Sometimes Don and I buy tickets just to up the pot for you guys.

A little technical history about the lottery for those who are interested. The original version didn't support admins modifying the pot. The site owner would have to go into our database and change it manually. So one of the improvements I made to the system over the years was modifying the code that picks the winner to ignore any tickets purchased by anyone with admin permissions. Not only so admins could donate their medits to the lottery but also because it made no sense to allow admins to win the lottery when they have the ability to modify their own medits at will. Something we very rarely only do when not debugging the site.
