so i usually use the browser to spin the wheel but today it didn't let me for some reason cuz it told me to upgrade to diamond to spin again even though i didn't spin yet? so i had to use my phone to spin. i refreshed the gift card page (i keep up to track my credits and see the free gifts when u use the gift card) it changed to the new imvu next site....lets just say that i wasnt a very camper.....and the tiers oh the tiers!!! gold is $5.99 a month, platinum is $12.49 a month and diamond is $24.99 a month. currently im on 1 year of vip and luckily i can still pay for a year's worth a vip but when i click on the vip tab on the current/old site it goes to the new/next site...so i cant even check the expiry date of my vip! im assuming currently everyone who has vip is on the platinum tier even tho we have 10 chat slots available....im not sure if this is to make people move to vu next or not but either way....im sticking with classic client and as long as i can still pay for 1 year worth of vip im fine! but yeah when i click on upgrades on the old site i can still pick monthly, quarterly and yearly for vip soo...there's that :P

HOLD UP NVM!!! OK SO I SEE THERE'S 2 VIP THINGYS??? when u click on ur account settings and click on manage subscriptions it'll go to the new vu and it'll pop up saying vip membership, legacy vip membership and host subscription. so im assuming that everyone rn who has vip is on the legacy one! which it seems like its something that we can continue to pick since its not a monthly sub unlike how the new tiers are all monthly...but now im wondering if the voice chat is gonna be a vu next only thing or if its gonna be on both next and classic...what do u guys think of all this new stuff?

So, just checked the tiers, some of my thoughts:

They pretty much downgraded the "legacy VIP" (Traded 5 rooms slots and 5k credits monthly for "6 hours broadcasting" and 2k monthly), Even though the value of this is subjective to the player, atleast in terms of money cost (I believe one permanent room slot is 15 dollars each if I'm not mistaken).

And I find pretty hilarious that the low tier doesn't even offer "No third-party Ads", it's the first time I see a subscription that doesn't block ads from a certain site, and it's not like the low tier is THAT cheap.

About the if the voice chat is going to be available in classic, I think its possible. Since the classic is now being updated quite frequently, even though the updates we had at the moment were not content updates..

EDIT

From what I saw on the voice chat, its only going to work on live rooms, and if your a person that likes to use voice chat, I don't think 6 hours for a full month is going to be worth it.

from what i can understand right now it seems like the current vip is the legacy one...i mean as long as we still have the option to buy that one we should be fine! but yeah...6 hours of voice chat for a month aint worth it :/

To be honest, I doubt that they will stay with the legacy VIP, because of the redundancy and the confusion that may cause, it doesn't make sense in a business perspective. If I had to guess, maybe after they release a update for the voice chat they will deactivate renewals of the legacy vip and the remaining days of ongoing subscriptions are going to be converted to the Platinum tier.

HULU has a budget tier that does not block ads, but you have to be an Amazon prime member and own a fire stick / cube / box to access it. It sucks.

I am wondering the exact same thing. Heck, it could be mobile only and tap into your phone service. Who knows?

lowkey hoping its mobile only and that we dont have to switch to vu next...and that we continue to buy a yearly subscription of vip since we can still do that on the current/old site...still sucks that now i have to use the mobile app spin cuz the browser one just tells me to upgrade to diamond even though i didn't spin yet like bruh wtf

Voice is starting off with mobile 1st, IMVU does have the ability to use voice in desktop client but will only start it off in mobile 1st. Remember they will be swamped with tickets to help people with new changes as they switch over their new system.

VIP 10 rooms old client. IMVU is allowing there members who already have VIP prior to the new VIP Tier to keep their 10 rooms for now. Mind you They Can at any given time roll you over to one of there Tiers later which will probable be Platinum unless you change it. https://about.imvu.com/vip-club

There might be a few changes along the way, but there new system is here to stay. I already dislike it so they better fix the regular pc client because the rest sucks. IMVU wants more money and takes away privileges, I see alot of players going else were to other sites. IMVU is killing there own site because they became money hungry.
I see there players online dropping like flies every yr. Why don't IMVU listen to the people and wake the hell up? Someone else will make another site like imvu was and IMVU will go down. Thats how it always works. So sad when you invest so much into a site lol I could kick myself now. haha

@Reemy

This. I would be surprise if they would let the VIP legacy subscribers have the 10 rooms indefinitely. this will probably just a temporary measure until they figure the whole tier list out.

I just don't understand why they would do that in the first place and they could fix it easily just by giving 15 rooms to the diamond membership and let the platinum sstay with the 10 rooms.
