Do i need a laywer?
Lawyers are not used / needed in small claims court, but 2/5 of the people who I know did this ... had a lawyer fill out the paper work at the court house for them.
Or can i lose money ?
Only if you live in Canada.

Yes there is normally a fee somewhere between $25 and $40 to fill out the paper work / get it delivered.

Okay so even if the email said i was banned due to "Unauthorized version of the imvu 3D client" i can still get it back through small claims ?

Correct.
I have seen IMVU inc give back accounts to people who were banned for extortion, blackmail, and pedophilia ... just because they filed court papers.
An unauthorized version of the client is nothing.
