ReadyBoost uses external USB flash drives as a hard disk cache to improve disk read performance. Windows 7 use the Windows SuperFetch algorithm to determine which files should be stored in the cache. SuperFetch monitors files that users access (including system files, application files, and documents) and pre¬loads those files into the ReadyBoost cache.Full article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/maga ... 56869.aspxI've personally never used it. Generally speaking, your computer is only as fast as the slowest part in it. This includes external devices connected through usb/firewire etc.. For me, plugging in an external usb drive actually slows down my disk performance because my OS drives are 2 SSDs in raid 0 and my storage drive is a WD black drive which are designed for performance. For your typical desktop/laptop user, I don't see a real benefit to using this. You'd have to do some real world testing but I guess it depends on what usb drive you plug in.What most people should do however, it learn what they need and how computers work so the next time they purchase a computer, they don't waste money on a piece of shit that needs stuff like ReadyBoost and all these 3rd party programs.I understand there are some who are stuck with what they have and for those people, I would suggest learning about your OS first. Sometimes, switching themes, disabling unused services and other features can help quite a bit. I know for a fact that on older Xp machines, switching to classic view and disabling a lot of the advanced eye candy in the background such as shadows and things can give you a nice drop in memory usage speeding up the whole machine.

Very informative...I totally agree with what you say! thank you. :snowman:

I would suggest you make a clean uninstall/install of imvu...remove all the folders of imvu in your computer like in document and u might want to check ur %appdata% folder if there are still folders left there....then install imvu...You might want to consider installing imvu light as well...tuitorials regarding this...viewtopic.php?f=140&t=8013&hilit=imvulite...its a light version of imvu...I love it...and you might want DM cashe cleaner too...ths is an awesome cleaner...viewtopic.php?f=134&t=9340&hilit=DM+Cleaner...I hope this helps! :coin: :coin: :coin:

Another useful memory program:Minimem - (Minimem Website) - FreewareMinimem is a memory optimization tools that allows you running modern applications on not-so-modern computers that are RAM-limited. You just choose which programs to optimize and how to do so, and Minimem takes care of the rest, running silently in your tray bar.

this sounds interesting...i will read more about it...thanks for sharing it with us! :bunny:

Here is a list of programs you should be using if you do not want IMVU to slow down your computer and crash as much: Ram Optimizer:
http://en.softonic.com/s/ram-optimizer/free
This program fixes memory leaks and weak programming in IMVU, which is the reason it takes up so much ram and makes your computer run slow after running it for a few hours. You can find several free ram optimizers at the link above.Cache Cleaner:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/downloadThis has about the same idea as the IMVU cache cleaner below, but it frees up storage in areas you might not have known IMVU affected.IMVU Cache Cleaner:
http://imvu-products.biz/?cat=software& ... cheCleaner
This program reduces the amount of space IMVU takes up on your computer. If you do not run this program on your computer at least once every week, then after a month of using IMVU..., IMVU shall take up a huge chunk of your storage...which slows you down till it is screaming at you.IMVU Lite: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8013
This is a light version of the IMVU client which runs much faster.

I will also suggest two game enhancers that can boost your gaming performance along with 1 other program.

Razor cortex - http://www.razerzone.com/cortex

This program gives you the ability to enhance your game play giving
you a smoother, faster, and better performance on your PC.

All you have to do is sign up, confirm your email, login Razor Cortex, add IMVU, press CTRL+B to boost
your performance and play!

System requirements:
Microsoft Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7

Hardware requirements:
300 Mhz processor or faster processor
256 MB of RAM
250 MB of free hard disk space

The second game enhancer I have in mind, which I'm not too familiar with is..

WTFAST - https://www.wtfast.com/

This as well will boost and optimize your gaming performance.
I'm not quite sure of how well it works, but you can give it a try.
There's a trial version for this, so you'd have to pay once it's over with.
And from what I recall, I don't believe seeing any cracks for this.
But once again, the ball is in your court to give this a go.

System requirements:
Windows

(I don't think there's much in specific as far as requirements besides windows.
Hell.. It might even work on mac, but I'm going by what's written. Knock yourself out.

The last program is called..

Leatrix Latency Fix - http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... cyFix.html

Leatrix Latency Fix will reduce your online gaming latency significantly by increasing the frequency of TCP acknowledgements sent to the game server. For the technically minded, this is a program which will modify TCPAckFrequency.

System requirements :
Windows 7, 8, 10, Vista (SP1+) or XP (SP3).
Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported.

My overall recommendation is Razor Cortex. It's pretty solid and not quite tedious to work
with as far as getting a boost, and there's no need to pay for anything. Just some basic knowledge
to put into it, and it frees up the ram in your system, giving you smoother gaming performance like I said.

I hope this helps and I hope this wasn't posted by anybody else :aHappy:.
