my anti malware picked up a trojan and some other malicious .exes and i normally am pretty cautious on the files i download etc, but lately i guess i've been trying to hard to optimize performance etc etc, anyway im a novice at things like this the (technical side) and i noticed some suspicious ports according to a guide in the forum but couldn't find the exact port # on the list of risky ports.

and then today i was on imvu in a room and these 2 suspicious users (one was a girl and use to be my so called "friend") was hanging out with a dude i don't know at all personally but i heard about him and he's "imvu popular" but anyways they were acting very weird he was typing out their "skype convo" etc, but then he said "remote" and she said something back then they left.

I checked my tast manager and found dllhost sihost.exes and got suspicious about them and kept seeing COM surrogate process take alot of memory, i tried to remove personal information off one of my newly made png images and it gave an error saying "file being used in COM surrogate" i've looked everywhere and tried to create dump files on the processes but im a novice and might mess something up, is there any way i can get rid of malware on my computer, it's been doing weird things ever since I bought it but today a little more than usual, it operates kind of normal but always has weird glitches or does things without me doing it. i apologize for the two inquiries

Everything you've mentioned are normal Windows processes and services. You didn't give any information on what the "malware" is doing or what these "weird glitches" are so I can't not provide you with any help.

As for the part about the IMVU chat, it seems like nothing more than paranoia.

it could've been paranoia, and i've spent time googling about the dllhosts and how windows uses it, but there is no option to disable it and it keeps getting turned back on.

applications will close without me clicking x of course it could be crashing or something but I find it weird because earlier i tried to use "run" as an admin and it opened a DAW program instead. I was downloading msert to scan properly and when the save as dialogue from chrome popped up my mouse cursor disappeared, just little things like that.

but you're right it could probably just be paranoia, btw after all the steps i did those suspicious ports aren't showing up anymore [ex: 664327 < something like that, but didn't match any lists for malware so I was thinking it was something new] , ran windows defender/ booted in safe mode/ set some services to manual/disable, ran windows defender offline through cmd, download msert and ran that, then ran ccleaner, and now i'm here..

I appreciate the fast response

[update] so yeah after doing those steps my pc feels a little safer but one suspicion i have is that its always been rigged since the day i bought it considering i basically got it for free with financial aid (free government college funds) and I bought it directly from the college book store, since I bought it, it always has had problems. And recently discovering trojans and malware raised my suspicions also discovering methods that schemers use raised them even more, but I've been more cautious since posting this.

I've never formatted my hdd, but after beiing enlightened (thank you imvu mafia forums) ill back up my files and format some day to be on the safe side.
