Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble creating a really sharp, clear badge. The Badge is a 20 X 40 so 2 blocks side by side. I am using the newest version of Paint Shop Pro and when I resize my work down to the badge size it will become blurry. It's still readable, just not as clean looking as some of the other badges I've seen. Any help is greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU So much!!

Welcome to the world of pixel art. Not as simple as seems playing with tiny squares.

One option is Adobe Illustrator which uses vector. When resizing it prides itself in not distorting the image, especially when reducing. May have luck in using.

This has been a problem of mine as well in reducing using editing software. I had consulted with a well-known badger and this is what she had told me to combat and get clarity.

1. Dont resize....Start with the actual badge size.
2. Use shapening tool.
3. Save as gif.

Otheriwise, next best option is to go in pixel by pixel to clean up the distortions.

Thank you so much for the tips and advice. I did try the vector thing in PSP and it's just not that great. I have the Adobe suite and looked at my 20 X 40 in photoshop....just downloaded illustrator on your advice so I will work with it and get back to you if I notice the difference. Thank you again for your reply!
