I've been stalked excessively in the past by weird people. The kind that followed me into every public room i was in when my location was kept off to the one that knew who i hanged out with in private chatrooms without me telling them. This nonsense then forced me to make a new account, so i could just play my game in PEACE.
It has come to my understanding that there are sites that offer your privacy to others without consent [find.vu & provur] for a fee from the stalker. Can someone tell me how is this done? what kind of coding goes into this so they can know exactly where i am? Im a bit tired of it and it has made feel anxious playing a darn game . I shouldnt feel that way.

how can i just hide myself completely from all this? If i have to learn coding for it, i gladly will.

They are running a web 2.0 web scrapper / spider bot on the IMVU public rooms search API, on a cloud server, saving everyone's hourly location in a database that is publicly available to query, sometimes at a price. There's no way to hide from it. They keep a full list of all of the rooms you frequent, as well as your current location as recent as an hour ago.

Your best option is to run your own rooms and boot / block stalkers.

Less tolerable options would be to change rooms often (every 10 - 15 minutes), never going into the same room twice. Or, sit afk in a couple of dozen random rooms at the same time at all times, making your stalker watch your afk avatar in a bunch of junk rooms till they get bored. Or, you can try paying the people who run the stalker tools to exclude your avatar, but ... that's quite a few sites and can get pricey ... not to mention not all of them accept bribes.

Same thing that has been happening to me! Except with my ex. He joined a room that I was in on my alt that he doesnt even know about.

Thank you so much for the insight Don. I've been blocking (my block finger has abs at this point by the amount of times Ive blocked.) Ill definitely be trying out the multi room trick. Thanks a lot.

Could be a coincidence or he actually knows its you by maybe how detailed he stalks. I had an experience like that with an guy as well and he sniffed out my alt , IDK HOW HE DID! but i just played it off as clueless! Best advice is to make sure your alt doesnt follow the same friends as your main and dont visit the stalker's profile with ur alt . xx

Block them is your best bet but if there using that damn find.vu site. I've subbed to it to avoid being tracked but that only does so much.
