Placing Unowned Poses

There is a thing where some BM sellers on IMVU next will ask to login to an account to place a pose in your room while the poss isn’t actually in your inventory. I don’t know if this is possible by some sort of client or what, I just want to know how this is done exactly?

Don't give your account and login deets to anyone, ever. It's a fast-track way to getting your account yoinked and sold. To actually answer the question though, it sounds identical to the Mafias clients and the way the village system works with them. The products are stores on Mafias servers, off of IMVU's catalogue listing as far as I can tell. You 'use' the items (via code), in the same way you can 'wear' hidden stuff that everyone has access to with code commands. Think of it kind of like how the IMVU shop works, if you want to simplify things. You have full access to items you "try" in the shop, but only within that instance of the shop - they aren't in your inventory, but show up in the scene and your "Wearing" inventory while you try them.

I wouldn't be surprised if what they're offering is literally just using a Mafias client to put the poses/furniture in your room for you. Which is something you can just do yourself and then have full control over.

I don't know if it's recommended or not, but a lot of BM poses/furni will stay in your room. They just exist within that instance like all your regular stuff, despite not being in your inventory. I know some of the village products are timed though, so I assume they auto-delete or disable themselves after a certain period.

So this is possible with the PRB Deep Client?

Or is it through T3DE

Both the PRB Deep Client and T3DE will work for that.

With the PRB Deep Client, it charges you $1 for each pose you do it with.

With T3DE, there is no cost per pose, but T3DE does charge you $35 for the first account you do it with, and $5 for each account after that. (I think) You'll want to double check those prices with Datamine.

I'm trying to place the pose using the *use function in T3DE room editor, but when I check the room on IMVU Next, i don't actually see the pose there anymore? Am I doing something wrong? My question was how did BM sellers place these poses in which I didn't own them but they still showed on the NEXT client.

I figured out the issue, the products were simply just rated UFI. Non-UFI detected products are applicable.

No, the poses do not need to pass review. Only the room you place them inside of must pass review and must be owned by you.

Good. Are you in "my room" mode?
