With the new change IMVU made on their server. Products you don't own will no longer be saved to the room and will disappear when you close it and other people will not see it. Will this be the standard now? Is there no way to fix or work around this because of the changes IMVU made? The main purpose for me using t3de was that I can "*use" to save rooms when I decorate and add poses but now it's not useable

Unfortunately, it's not very possible to fix without a ton of backend work. Even if they did do that work the products would not be visible to mobile/next users like they have in the past.

That's why we're going a different route instead that should allow them to still be visible on mobile/next.

My intrusive thoughts casually blurting "Man, fuck those guys. Mobile and Next are lame anyway." ..but I get it, let's get you back in your chair grandma. Just because there wasn't IMVU mobile "in your day". Begrudgingly I'll admit they're important as well ..sadly, while I secretly curse and wish more people would go with Classic so VU gives it more love.

Unless you plan on injecting code into Mobile/Next as well I struggle to see what other routes there are. I heard whispers of potentially having a program for you or a bot account that automatically rearranges the room every time it needs to since things don't save. I guess you could build that into T3DE.

While I care little about Mobile/Next, we need to at least partially support it since a lot of potential customers are there.

@Qvah

While we do have plans in the future to h4c|< the beta client, the PRB updates are focused on the products themselves.

I feel you, hence I can admit mobile is important. Even if I do think it's the worst thing that's ever happened to IMVU, or one of. (Maybe tied with getting rid of resellers or the big conundrum that shafted most creators.) Needless to say I screamed "no!!" when I read about SL working on a mobile service.

IMVU deserves to be pressured by other companies. They have barely innovated in the last 10 years

I concur. Classic client still being 32bit being probably the biggest sin that should've been overhauled by now - and almost definitely won't be, since I imagine all of the original devs are long gone. I don't imagine the current staff have the ability, experience or know-how to tackle that either; porting Next and calling it "the new client" is about the barest form of effort they could've given. I'd tip a hat to AP+ if it wasn't so woefully out of touch in it's current heading.

Sure, I could say similar things about SL not innovating a ton in a while, but they've done a lot more than VU over their lifespan and at least I can say the whole mesh thing was something of a big innovation, for better or worse. Likewise, they at least give the freedom of what viewer you wish to use and adults being able to act like adults. Even without BM stuff, I couldn't see myself going back to a normal client for VU.
