Here are some really old interesting posts that I found by staff on the IMVU forums:

IMVU is joining the RSS world. Our search page now takes a new parameter that will allow you to search the catalog and get results back as RSS XML. The first practical application of this is that you can search IMVU products (including developer products) via Amazon's a9.com. To add the IMVU column (or just see a demo), check out this link:

http://a9.com/-/search/moreColumns.jsp

and search for IMVU in the list of columns.

For those of you who are curious, the RSS feed complies with the OpenSearch 1.0 standard, which you can read about here:

http://opensearch.a9.com/

For an example of the raw RSS data you can get via this feed, see this link:

From this post, we now know that IMVU got the code for its catalog from amazon.com

The subject pretty much says it all. If you use either of these IM programs, they should now work with IMVU. Please let us know how it works for you:

As we know now, IMVU was not always a stand alone program. It use to be an add-on for other IM clients. List of IMVU add-on clients:
yahoo
Google Talk IMVU
xfire
pulver.communicator

* The new "*movie" command. This is for those of you who like to take animated-GIF screenshots of IMVU. You can type *movie X (where X is a number) to have IMVU create an animated GIF of the next X seconds of whatever happens on-screen. You'll find the GIF in your IMVU folder, it'll be called imvu_movie.gif

From this post, we know that IMVU use to have a command: *movie x

If anyone could find these old add-ons, I am interested in them.

I think DM made an autoit program that can quickly take pictures.
@«Ð▪ℳ»
Perhaps they can be combined into a gif?

Mhm, you can find it here: viewtopic.php?f=113&t=8138

It will take pictures automatically for you or allow you to take a picture at any time with the press of a button.
