Google Bombing

The terms Google bomb and Googlewashing refer to practices intended to influence the ranking of particular pages in results returned by the Google search engine, in order to increase the likelihood of people finding and clicking on a certain website when searching certain words, those words are linked to the website through other sites on the same topic.

For example, our family recently made the Gray Market: buysell/

I wanted google to show that page high in the search results when people are searching for naughty sex products for IMVU. In order to increase the page's ranking in such searches, I searched the following phrases on google: "IMVU sex", "IMVU Black Market", and "IMVU trigger dick". Next, I searched the first 5 pages of the results of those searches for pages that allow replies / comments / posting. Finally, I added Material to those pages linking to: buysell/

This tricks google into thinking that those other sites are using our site as a source for information, thus making our site look like the dominant site in the search results, and ranking us higher in the search results. Within 1-3 months, the page should rise. I have used this exact same method to advertise our own website and to optimize the number of referrals to our site from search results.

Just add the search terms you want to bomb onto the end of that search.

Did you do it manually? It would work hella fast if we'd program a bot.

Well, first we have to check whether the page/article/website supports comments. If they do, most of them have to be checked by moderators before being posted on the page.

In this case, a bot would be more trouble than it is worth. To make a bot that can correctly post on any site that accepts user submited material would be sort of a challenge. Also, you would need the bot to make the posts not look like spam, or mods would remove them.

Not to mention, if google catches you botting, they will remove your site from searches.
