Ban a person

Hello. I had a bit of an unpleasant situation here, and I would like to teach the person a lesson. Is there any 100% option for this person's account to be blocked, at least for some time?

I thought about fake screenshots of insults, bulling. Is it might work?

You can flag a person in any room your in or any message they send you and after you flag that message you can contact imv and let them know what happend and they will look into it and see what actions need to be made if any. You will not know what actions they take if its a warning or etc. If you try to do fake shit you no better then that person. Do it right. Block that person on your block list and let it go. be bigger that a lil weasel. Only reason bullies stick around is because the other person plays with them. ignore them and they move on because they want action. Don't give it to them and case closed.

They don't accept screenshots. Only the report button works for that situation. You could still spy that person with an other account and flag what they say in public rooms whenever they says something a bit contreversial or when they insult someone.

I did that long ago for a person who was homo/trans-phobic. I was spying them and everytime I've seen them saying something harsh about the LGBT community I was flagging their discussion.

Also you can flag their profile picture or username if it's suspicious.

u can block the person so that they can't go into any ur public rooms but reporting them would be a bit tricky unless u report what they say in chat since reporting the account is vague...

I think its a big waist of your good time on imv to worry about what a lil imp is saying or doing. Unless they are talking to you directly in a room where you can flag them or an message that can be flag as well its just a waist of time. Even if you flag you need to send submit a case or do a chat with IMV to let them know you sent in a flag so it gets seen right away and you let them know your serious about what's going on. Most times it gets pushed under the rug so to speak. I was stalked by someone a couple yrs on imv and they did nothing. I reported him, the room I was in was full and they reported him over and over and booted and blocked him and IMV did nothing. He had over 35 IMV accounts I knew of with the help of others he terrorized on IMV as well. Why they did nothing still bothers me this day. He would laugh and tell everyone IMV will do nothing to him. He knows people higher up. He must have, But couple yrs later he must have met his match. He got disabled, his account that he terrorized me from is still active, but he never bothered me sense at lest in an ugly way if he uses an other account I don't know him by. Thanks to him I know longer trust people online. but I will add this. He DID move on after I learned to ignore him 100%.

Yeah ... there are ways, but none of them are 100% perfect and other than reporting the chat, they are all pretty scummy to do. Your soul feels dirty afterwards and nothing is really gained. You're better off creating your own room where you can be in charge and kick people who slight you. Build yourself up instead of tearing others down.

I hate to say it but reporting did absolutely nothing for me. I really think that feature is just there for show. In my case I ended up meeting a user who thought I copied his work, which in fact I did not. I didn't even know who the gentleman was until he showed up in a chatroom I was in and started blasting me with false accusations. After a few back and forth I told him to set a DMCA if he was so worried about it. The user said nothing but derogatory and hateful retorts and I was reporting like there was no tomorrow. Nothing happened to the guy. In the end the only thing the original poster can do is block and move on.
