I was using TOR to download from rapid, switched the ip and got connected to one of their ghost ips/servers 119.42.149.22 than a JavaScript snippet came from there [metasploit's exploit for MS06-014 injecting iframes]
the code tried to download (via XMLHttpRequest) the executable install.exe (which is a binnary virus

It came from
http://golnanosat.com
The exe:
http://golnanosat.com/adw_files/5106/da ... l.exe?id=1 to add it to the startup programs, and to run it.

Fortunately for me i had IDM that picked up all the .exe's and didn't download them also i had to block the address with the range [ good old peerguardian with customized ip blocker list]
Is anyone using still TOR with IMVU?
Im switching to old ghostsurf.

Well , lot of people use TOR to protect their anonymity ( mask their IP through proxy's ) from IMVU.So i was wondering if anyone who used TOR had any problem with their servers like, I had while connecting to their servers.
I think they have good music  (although they are kinda mainstream), i like also goa psy trance and fullon , beside trance itself.

TOR is open source...anyone can relay traffic for the TOR network.
This means that while you are anomy; you run the risk of ur data being hijacked or changed between check points. While this does not happen very often...it is the only working free way that i know how to anonymously connect to IMVU.

Feel free to present a better method if you have one.

If I used TOR, could I use the "refer a friend" predit scam? I only have a limited number of computers to do it from. LOL Also, (phoenix labs is defunct, but) I use PeerBolck (same thing, practically). Where/how did you get the IP addies you need to blacklist?

TOR is OKAY. It's community driven so it doesn't surprise me. TOR has always been way too slow for me to really use unless it's something quick on the net, I could never use it for IMVU. Instead I use hotspot shield, it's free and very fast. The only downside is that it's not community driven like TOR.

I use hotspot shield for watching movies on megavideo, just disconnect and reconnect hotspot shield and you get a new IP each time.

If you are referring to blocking TOR proxies, I have written a blog post on how to do it :

The official blacklist of TOR exit nodes is https://check.torproject.org/cgi-bin/TorBulkExitList.py
