Yeah a lot of Horrors today seems to be missing a certain essence that makes horrors Thrilling.
One of my favourites would be Ring (Ringu) (1998 version). I like this movie mainly because I found it interesting and it had some good creepy value. The 2002 remake was pretty good, but I found the original better.
