1. Take A picture in IMVU of yourself in a pose you like make sure you select the no background prior to taking the pic. Save to your album.
2. Go external to your page and click on your albums and locate the pic save to a folder on your PC
3. Open up Gimp if you have not already and then click on File then down to Open...Locate the file then look for the picture you want to make into a sticker.
4. What you should see within your Workspace is your pic with a checkered background showing you that it is transparent.
5. to set your images size you will go to Image click on that for the drop down and then select Scale Image Another box will come up and there you will set your Pxs I like working with 300 x 650 some may like smaller or larger
6. Next click on Layer and get the drop down and click on Duplicate Layer this will make a copy of the one you are working on
7. On the right hand side you will see two minitures of the Picture you want to make sure the bottom one is Highlighted so click on it. This is the one you are working on.
8. Then go again to the top of your pic and click on Filters for the drop down Box there you will select Alpha to Logo then another side box opens and you select Neon
9. a box will open up where you select the color of the glow that you want to surround your Picture. Leave the Background color as Black and Select whatever glow color you may want. Click ok and this will generate your picture now in your workspace with a black background as well as showing you the Glow around it.
10. To make this pic once again a transparent background you will look again to the right in the box and now you will see 4 small boxes, 1 with your pic and 2 with the glow effects and 1 black.
11. you will right click on the Black box and select Delete Layer. This removes the black background making it once again transparent.
12. Again on the right hand side Box you have 3 little boxes remaining you want to right click on the 1st box and select Merge Down then you go to the next Box and repeat so that you are left with just one box there the one with your pic in it.
13. Now you again look at the top of your workspace and select Image. In the drop down box you will select Autocrop Image. Once you do this you will see the Grey checkered area Become smaller. This makes it so that the sides are not overlapping into another sticker
14. Now this finishes your Sticker..To save to your PC you will select File and go down and select Export To.
15. this will open a box to assign a name as well as where you want to save it. Make sure when you add a name that you use .png at the end as this keeps it as a transparent. Select where and what folder you want it to be saved in
16. Click Export
17. another small box will pop up you really don't need to change anything there just click on Export and then you are completely done with it.

To now place your sticker in Catty......

1. Open up Shop externally and select stickers
2. Select all Stickers
3. in the top right select lowest to highest
4. Look for the Newborn Chick sticker there for 52 credits select this one Doesn't really matter what you pic but why pay more
5. Scroll down to where it says Make a Sticker and click on that
6. This is filled out basically as you would when creating a item in Create mode except here you add the info differently
7. Select what location which is what is your sticker classified as..Words, People, Annimation etc..in this case People
8. Next Box give your Item a name
9. Next Box..Here I normally add the HTML for My banner as well as the sticker..which I saved to a Photosharing locker (IMVU Mafias' gallery, Photobucket, etc) You can get the HTML code directly from there without having to do it yourself so just some Copy and pasting.
10. Next choose your rating. Make sure if you make it GA that all areas are covered per IMVU and if showing less then minimum Coverage mark it AP
11. Set your Price
12. Catalog Icon Image...Your Icon. You can make a quick Icon of your product by simply going into pain open the sticker and sizing it to 100 x 80 and renaming it. This will cause the new pic to loose it's transparency but no problem as it is just your product Icon. save it and then locate it and put it there. MAKE SURE TO RENAME IT OR YOU WILL SCREW UP YOUR STICKER
13. Next click on Sticker Image File and then select your actual Sticker file and put it there
14. Bundability... checkmark if you want to or not up to you basically
15. Keywords..Fill in one word per line to describe your Sticker you don't have to do alot unless you want to or you can leave it blank.
16. Visible...Checkmark if you want it to be seen in catty or uncheck if not
17. Submit...Click on it and off it goes to peer. Although it is in Peer you will automatically see it already in your sticker inventory and can place it on your page if you want to. But for anyone else they have to wait for it to clear peer before you can send it to them and that they can place it as well.

And there you have it Your Glow sticker.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be getting a new PC for Christmas so I'll be sure to install GIMP and try these features out. I mainly do traditional art, but I'll get the hang of this!
