Well, from what I hear, Gimp has manyyy of the same feature as photoshop. The trouble with giving advice on that is that I am not as familiar with gimp to help you there.
However, I believe the setting's names are the same and or similar. So if you can find the correct setting's names, I think you should be okay. Of course the shortcuts from photoshop will not work like "ctrl+G" etc. The general things will/should work.
I hope that someone that uses gimp will comment on this. I would like to know as well to be honest.
