There is an important update at the end of this post.
IMVU inc uses this to track computers that make payments with credit cards: Bluecava
Does anyone know how to beat it or hide from it?
I already tried blocking it in my host file...and the bluecava site still loads.
It is some sort of device blueprinting script that makes an image of your computer specs...
There are rumors that IMVU inc is going to place it on their entire website to keep track of hackers with 200 hundred other businesses.
Update: the IMVU client / website is now infected with bluecava
Here are some threads on our site which will help you combat Bluecava:
1) IP Blocking: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7490&p=109175#p109175
2) Disable Flash Cookies: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7493
Bluecava can be beaten by using IMVULite: viewtopic.php?f=140&t=8013 or T3DE: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7446
