Well, my wireless card on my laptop has been going bad for a while now. It fails to turn on with my computer sometimes. Along with that, it just does not pick up signals from as far away as it use to. It will even randomly stop picking up signals every now and then till I restart my computer. The card is internal and about 4 years old.
So, I decided to buy an external wireless card to replace it. I have three slots on my laptop. One slot is labeled SD, another is labeled PRO, and the third largest lost is not labeled. I tried to look up my computer's spec's, which told me that the third slot is a PCI slot.
Well, I went onto ebay to find an external wireless card that I can plug into one of these slots. I typed into the ebay search, "Laptop wireless PCI", which gave me this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT
The card got to me really fast, but...it does not fit in the hole! Can someone please explain to me what I did wrong. I am a computer scientist, not an engineer. What is this hole and what can I stick in it?
