So yea. I was reading a thread on IMVU and i went to go to this site then when it was loading i went back to the imvu thread and my pc shut off . When it tried to start again it shut off again and gave me a black screen with white letters saying that windows did not start properly and about something that it might have been because of some software etc .
So i restarted it and it turned on perfectly and i noticed that my internet said "limited or no connection" so i got scared and checked what the ip address was and it started with 169 or 164 i can't read that number that i wrote. Hmmm could i have gotten a virus?
my computers firewall was off so i turned it on but my AVG was on and my router is with a password .
So i started turning my pc off then on and clicking f8 cause i read that it's how to start safe mode so i could scan my pc but it never worked then after several times of turning off and on my pc i got it the internet to work and avg gave me a pop up message so i pressed public connection (single computer ) and now my connection is fine and in ctrl alt delte i do not see any programs that i would not recognise . i turned off the suspicious ones .
Also now when i checked my IP it's different than what it was before the computer shut off but i have a dynamic IP that changes ones every few months .
So could this have been the IP changing process? when i tried repairing my connection when it was limited it keopt saying that it can't renew IP . i tried renewing it with IPconfig but idk if that worked so now i'm here with questions.

o.O when german company was presenting they new car bill gates said if i made cars by now they will fly to moon, and german dude told him yeah but your car would stop every km cos of most stupid things and our car without problem never stops for fourty years. So its not virus or anything seriouse and reasons can be million. You comp turned of cos processor got horny, or who knows what. If it continue to happen then you probably have some hardware problem should open it and clean a bit. Net like jon said happens all time to everyone and almost never its cos of you. So dont worry. Ps: if that screen pop again that say software problem bla bla it has code under it like 0OOX8 BLA BLA write it down and google.
