Our Apologies:
For those who did not notice, our site was down for the past 18 hours; and for those who did notice, we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused. On the plus side, we predicted that our site would be down for 24 hours and it was only down for 18 hours, with a few hours of up time scattered about. Our site did experience a minor hacking attempt, but nothing was harmed and no data was compromised. Thanks to the hard work of our top notch scientists doing nightly backups, little to no data has been lost during this down time. Restoring our site was quick and easy; most of the downtime was used to secure our site against future attacks which will also fail against the unwavering excellence of our community.
Data lost:
The only things lost were any images added to our server over the past 48 hours and any updates on wikimafias pages done within the past 48 hours. If you uploaded a picture to our site within the past 48 hours, then we suggest you reupload it (this includes updates to profile pictures). In case you no longer have the picture, contact me and I can provide it. We do still have the files. In the case of wikimafias updates being lost, you will need to re-update any pages that you have updated within the past 48 hours.
