Not so Private Chats

A friend of mine is accusing someone else I know of somehow being able to view her Private Chats. I'm not sure how this is possible aside from accessing the Chat Logs or getting IMVU Staff to help you do this. If anyone knows whether this is possible and how to protect against it, please let me know so I can pass along the information. Currently the user who has been accused of this has been flagged for invasion of privacy, though I'm not sure what good that will do. I'm pretty sure this is something that has sensitive information so reply in PM if it's not something everyone should be seeing.

I do not personally know of a way someone could have a copy of or see a chat if they are not in the room when the chat takes place or if they did not get it from someone else who was.

That is not to say it is impossible if you know what you're doing though, I just don't know of a way. Would be a nice thing to learn for our intel department though.

That it would. DVFC mentioned in the PM I started with him that there's a good chance there was a keylogger involved on one of the participant's computers, so I've advised everyone to run full checks and scans.

The only other way I can honestly think of is to be IMVU staff and have access to chat logs, and I recently found out that the person who had this info does in fact have a close friend in staff apparently... And has allegedly gotten a few clubs shut down and one or two people disabled thanks to this staff member friend. I'm becoming more and more irritated at the fact that my friends have let this person into their lives... But there's not much I can do about controlling who my friends associate with.

Hmm that would reduce the likelihood of that situation severely...
