If you are like me, you hate using actions in chat (lol, hello, wave, bye, peace, what? - etc)

These are determined by a file called macros.config.xml, the top of the file looks like this, and does a better job explaining it than i would:

Code
Welcome to the IMVU Macro File. Here you can setup keyboard macros for
the keys on your keyboard including F-keys.Have any problems with
creating macros? Let us know: macros@imvu.com

There are two types of macros supported in this file.

The first kind of macro triggers a product to be worn. This allows you
to easily add a trigger to any of the various animations and other
products in the IMVU catalog. An example of a product wearing macro is:

<Macro#>
  <Key>rocker</Key>
  <Value>*use 11185</Value>
</Macro#>

Where # is replaced with any number. The above macro uses the trigger
"rocker" to call product 11185 which is the Rocker animation for the Guy.

The second type of macro is avatar specific. For example, if you wanted
to have a different product called for the word "rocker" based on what
avatar you were wearing, you could set up your macros as follows:

<Avatar80>
<Macro#>
  <Key>rocker</Key>
  <Value>*use 2068</Value>
</Macro#>
</Avatar80>

<Avatar191>
<Macro#>
  <Key>rocker</Key>
  <Value>*use 11185</Value>
</Macro#>
</Avatar191>

;The top macro is for the Girl only while the bottom macro is for
;the Guy only. The product numbers for the two IMVU inc. created
;avatars are:
;
;Girl: product80
;Guy: product191

The above note was made when we had seperate sections for the Girl
and Guy avatars. Now, both avatars' commands have been merged into
the general area.

This file can be located in %appdata%/IMVUclient/ on windows and /Applications/IMVU.app/ on mac. this file can be edited and custom macros can be defined, i personally use two for the "face light" - to light up dark rooms. Those look like this:

Code
...

<!--
EXPLOIT SPECIFIC TRIGGERS
-->

<Word_icanhazlight>*use 27750520</Word_icanhazlight>
<Word_nomoarlightpls>*remove 27750520</Word_nomoarlightpls>

...

You can either use your own macros or simply delete them, but if you edit it incorrectly, you can break the file which will stop the client from working. I have an edited version right here you can use as a template for working on your own macros. My template contains no english macros and the two above to use the "face light" i use.

I hope some other people make use of this, as i know most people hate having their avis do stupid actions
