I would love to make that happen but Don Von does not like the flat style, he thinks it's too boring. Though he did like the new quote box I made.

Besides..an entire site theme overall would take a fair bit of time and effort that he is not willing to put in. I'll keep trying to push him towards it though.

That would help. I remember him telling me once that he would need to see a lot of members requesting it before he'd consider it.

We wish to vote about the new cms style.

Personally, I would love to see this design used to make a mobile phone version of our site. We are well overdue for a mobile phone version. I just don't have the time to do that much backend database / api work on our site. I'm working on it though; currently practicing by adding more automation to our market.

I don't know about you guys but the design isn't something that matters too much. I'd say its more so the content. As long as the information is presented neatly, I'd say its good.

I 110% agree. I want to keep our theme as is and focus on content. There is so much new content I am working on ... and taking time to re-write our site would greatly decrease development speed of that new content.

Still, a mobile phone version of our site on the side is much needed. I use to teach college classes and one of the classes I taught was online. The number of students taking the class purely through their phone was ridiculous. Many people do the majority of their web browsing through their phone. Other than our homepage which I have made mobile phone compatible, the rest of our site is a nightmare to use on a phone. This new design DM is making is simplistic and perfect for mobile phone use.

There are several new tools which I have algorithms and blueprints for, which I am sure the community would love. I can not work on those new tools if I am working on a site re-write; a process which in the past has proven to take years. (our last full site re-write was in 2010 and took me 2 years of constant work to complete)

Don what i think all of us are trying to say is that we would like a new design to be included in the future for the projects not that we want it right now plus you just said that the simplistic design DM is making helps with the mobile version and i agree so in my opinion you should include that in the future to do list.There are also some of us that can help you just have to ask
personaly i cant wait too see what new tools you have in mind lol.

While you are right, if not presented in a clear and understandable way it can negatively effect us. The main reason I want to improve the visual design around here is because I am tired of people constantly coming to me asking how to use this site or asking questions that could have easily been answered by looking at the forums for a few minutes. I can't tell you how many times people didn't realize the overall menu at the top of every page was actually a menu with drop downs and things they could click on.

From what I've gathered so far, people can't make heads or tails of our site right now and it really frustrates me.

I see, Well you're doing a good job so far. If I may suggest you categorize things even more. For example categorize links further and categorize movies into things like genres or release date
