Ive been looking to see how to bulid karma and was wondering the layout about karma im new to please and thank you for your time

You can build Karma by simply doing things that people think it worth giving your karma for. We encourage people to give karma to someone after they've completed a sale on the market so others know the seller is legit. Like reputation EBay. But you can earn it for pretty much doing anything.
If you go to someones profile page there is a link to see the comments people have left as to why they gave that person karma.

Adryan...I see everyones Karma when I look under thier names in posts... Is it perhaps because of thier rankings or that they are new that they are unable to see it?

Currently, you can see people's karma in 3 places: On their posts, on their profile page and on their karma comments page.

Well, yeah. You can't give yourself karma that would be cheating and defeat the purpose of karma. You have to earn karma by being a good contributing member of our community.

tldr:
- Build Karma for free by posting in the forums. The more useful the post, the more likely people will award karma. You also earn medits (imvu mafia credits) from posting.
- Build Karma via trading (buying selling credits, products, etc)
- Karma establishes yourself in the community. There may be rank rewards.
