1) your problem

Someone has h4c|<7d into my account, and after 5 months of me waiting for IMVU to help me with my problem, they FINALLY get me back my account. The h4c|<7r used my name change token to change my username, and they changed the email and password of the account too. IMVU gave me the new information to my account and I change the email and password as soon as I get it back. I log on, but minutes after logging on, the h4c|<7r changes the email and password again. She contacted me through my email, and said if I want my account back, we have to share it.

2) how this problem effects you

I've spent at least $3,000 on that account, so for the h4c|<7r to say we have to 'share the account', is like saying I have to share my own hard-earned money with her if I even want to use my account anymore.

3) Where in IMVU this problem is coming from

It's coming from my h4c|<7d account, now called Piiis the last time I checked.

So after 5 months of waiting you were able to get your account back from IMVU which is not easy to do and you didn't bother to change the email or password immediately?

Is the help ticket still open? Did you try calling IMVU inc over the phone?

Just make a call, with a phone call you can get imvu to switch the stuff for you. You can also ask them to "disable" the account and then send you the re-enable link to the new email. This way there is no access by anyone expect the new email. This by all means should give you the window to go change everything you need to gain it back.

As soon as u get the account...next immediate step is to make changes to your email and password.......thats the critical step.....make sure you use any new email rather than the used ones because hackers get all the linked email information as the process is like a chain....simple step is to change email and password .....wait again...file a ticket to IMVU....when they make ur account available to you ....just make the change.......i m saying this based on my hacking experience few years back...

What type of email account is it?

oh yeah, make sure that your own computer is not the issue. You know you could be having some Unwanted 4th party program/s info-Cuuming you. That would void any email changes to be pointless till the unwanted data miner is removed.
