I was on the IMVU website earlier and noticed that even though I had Ublock Origin installed, not all of IMVU's ads were removed. So I spent some time browsing around the IMVU site tonight locating all of the ads that were left behind by Ublock Origin and created some filters to remove them.
Here's a tutorial on how to install these filters to block IMVU's ads.
Step 1) Install Ublock Origin for FireFox. Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ck-origin/
Step 2) After Ublock Origin is installed, open the Ublock dashboard by clicking on the Ublock icon in your toolbar and then clicking on the gear icon. See the picture below if you have trouble finding it.
Step 3) Click on the "My Filters tab". See the picture below if you have trouble finding it.
Step 4) Select all of the text below and right click on it and select copy.
Step 5) Paste the test into the My Filters tab.
Step 6) Click the "Apply Changes" button.
DONE!
Now, not only will normal ads on IMVU's website be blocked but also the "get VIP!" links should be blocked as well.
Note: These filters may only work on the U.S/English version of the IMVU website, I'm not sure. If they don't work for you in your country, please let me know and I will see about modifying them.
