Only ads created recently are using this new price scheme. So old ads still have the old prices. This is something that will be phased out in a few months.
Glad to know there are future adjustments coming.
Datamine wrote:Always turn off adblock when using our market, it causes issues due to the words "ad" and "advertisement".
I saw after trying to reenact the ad error, I didn't come up with that error. I figure it had to be adblock.
DataMine wrote:That is a WIP page.
What is a WIP page? Care to explain?
DataMine wrote:Don has not uploaded thumbnails for his products yet, that is something he will do when the new market is released so right now all of his ads are using the "no thumbnail" image.
That would explain why there were no thumbnails uploaded yet.
DataMine wrote:Yeah, in my opinion underlines only server to let you know something is clickable but I personally think it looks ugly and redundant. If people prefer them underlined I could change it.
Well, you would have to make a poll and see the results you get back.
DataMine wrote:Don and I discussed this. We didn't think it was all that useful to anyone. Is it really something you guys use?
Personally I thought it made the site look more polished. But to each is own.
DataMine wrote:It uses our site's default font which is verdana, sans-serif and arial.
Have you tried to use other fronts? Did you do any testing to see which look more saturated and revealing? Some font's can actually help the site look more polish.
DataMine wrote:Do you mean the number of products the seller has?
No, I meant the number of a products said person sold or even that too. I know you can find a way to implement that to the Black Market shop.
DataMine wrote:That is what the karma system is for. We are working to make the karma system easier to use so you can give karma to good sellers and take it away from bad ones.
Okay, how well has that system worked for you guys? It seem that the system can be loop hole or mistreated incorrectly. People do not follow by TOS. I figure a system like that can be more arbitrary rather then used positively. This is why I suggest the number of sales or a voucher system. Where people have to vouch for that person. You can get a moderator to do the vouching. That way it is more trust worthy and safer.
DataMine wrote:At the moment that is not something we can do due to technical limitations of the site and lack of time by staff to administer that. The only possible solution would be to require Mafia VIP to post an ad but I am not sure if Don would agree to that.
How would he not agree to it? It's not like it destroys the websites traffic. You getting visitors everyday from random locations. Even people using VPNS to bypass bans and what not. At least you can do is make a require post count, Mafia VIP or get a recommendation from one of the mods on here.
DataMine Wrote:I'm glad you think it's more polished, that was one of my goals. I'm also glad you like how you can wishlist and add to cart now without clicking on the ad first.
Yes, I love what you did with that. I thought that made it more sufficient and less redundant. I'm glad that you are proud of your work. I know you are busy and don't have time to work on things due to in real life errands. But keep up the good work. Lastly, I didn't put this in the last post but I am going to say it anyways. I love what you did with the product advertisement. Where the views once were and said person name. You put the name under the product where the product is being advertise with the product type included. Thought that made the site seem professional.
