Do you guys think imvu will ever shut down because good games like meez and fantage did?

Amazed it hasn't already. They are focusing on getting new customers and not keeping the new customers. Nothing new or innovative has come from IMVU as of yet

As of now i think imvu is stable enough to keep running. my calculations detect that imvu has stable ecomony and from chatting with support over the years, they seem really happy. imvu treats their staff good too and their creators. as far as i can see, if someone isnt paying for any of imvu's premium upgrades like vip or creating or any of the orthers, those people are just guests. they are treated as guests. but it they are helping the community by becoming a creator or vip then, they would see what imvu is all about. when it all comes down to it, alot of other small organizations are helping imvu, even us TIM.... without imvu.... nothing here would be of significance?

I make a lot of non IMVU related content, I just don't share it here for obvious reasons. Though if IMVU went down we'd just switch to something else or re brand as a more generalized community.

my bad DM..... i thought it was jus IMVU..... good t know TIM would still be able to survive without IMVU. Where else can these bm products be uploaded? SL?

Meez had made a comeback. seems to be gone now, when it first was announced (befor imvu) i was there. as for imvu i don't think its going anywhere anytime soon.

VU will survive in some warped evolved existence with the change in times since its inception 2004. Highest failure would have been in its formative 5yr probationary window. Yet it managed to survive and now going into its 15th year? Despite its broken features, lack of communication and connection, out of touch with its users, surviving settlement lawsuit over, change in leadership, its few competitors. They have managed to maintain a profit and users are willing to pay, simply by providing a value users are willing to use, thus keeping them in business. It is a value which is just enough to keep users happy and willing regardless of the many exiting and complaints.

However, i do believe that could be their possible downfall. Once they no longer provide the value it could easily teeter into a shutdown. The loss of users outwaying the actual users.

I played Meez for a little while, didn't think it was that great personally and I can see why it wouldn't last. As for IMVU, it has a legacy group of users who are not going anywhere. They even launched that horrible app and it didn't run that many people off, so there is that.

No one has the power to shut down IMVU, not even IMVU inc. The community is too large ... someone else would simply pick up where they left off.

Holy shit, I haven't heard of MEEZ in a long time. I think MEEZ was the first digital picture avatar I ever played in. Although I never got to the chat community part. Just played with the a avatar making section. And as for Imvu, I'm so unsure. The last few years with credit reselling in the open disappearing, so did a lot of people. With experience in the I'm exotic dance industry and creating side, it seems like a lot have disappeared and but still a lot seem to have amazingly remained. And for SL, I liked it because you could get into the adult side without any problems or cutoffs like imvu but I lagged so badly with SL that it wasn't even enjoyable.
