I mean, IMVU only soft deletes messages. They do not hard delete them. They are all still in the IMVU database after you delete them. There might be an api or something that can still access the deleted messages.

Hmmm I think if you go on your phone and download the app you will still be able to see the messages or if you were on phone and you deleted something if you have the imvu app on your pc you can go to your index and you will see the messages I don't think you can delete messages from pc(I mean the imvu on pc) so try it they will probably be there or there is one more thing you can do is to go on imvu next and try and see if the messages are there

I've deleted messages on mobile and found them again on the pc client. I agree with
@IamHereForTheMemes
. Try all message areas. It's probably still in one or the other. If you're on mobile and close a conversation, just message that person again and the history should show up again.

I one time logged into an IMVU staff account and found that I could view peoples' deleted messages on their homepages .... the messages just had a little bit of red text in the corner of each message that said "deleted" (this tells me that IMVU holds on to your deleted messages) ... so I would not be surprised if IMVU mobile could view messages deleted on PC and vice versa.
