Which assassin's creed game should I play first?

So i was thinking of playing assasin's creed but i don't really know where to start from.
Should i start from the first game?

Start from the very beginning and play them in order. My favorite is Assassins Creed 2, the story of Ezio Auditore is absolutely fantastic and very captivating. If you're into games with a story line you should definitely give it a try.

I had played the first game when it came out, it was such an experience...
It tripled on the second game, sure thing. I would say to play from the start, so the differences and improvements from later games don't bother you when you "downgrade".
