I was wondering if there was anyway or a tool to unlock the client FPS cap? Some months ago I had seen topics on the official imvu forums talking about this and how to do it, but it seems the mods censored it because tampering with the client goes against TOS.
Anyone knows a way or two?

Not sure bro, but i recommend keeping it as is you don't need more than 30 fps anyways plus these "little" tweeks could destroy(well i,am overexagratting) your gameplay.

People who had done it before never mentioned any problems playing animations in-game because of a higher fps. But thanks for the advice.

I know in 2007, IMVU staff tossed around the idea of beefing up or replacing the CAL 3D engine the client is still currently using, but they decided against it ... saying that they thought the look and fps of IMVU made it have a ... "unique" feel, and they did not want to loose that feel, that overall style.
Then, in 2009, they replaced the variable max 30 fps with static 30 fps.

Recently, we made a change to how animations play in IMVU. Now, all animations play at the speed that their Creators intended them to play.
It used to be that an animation would play at a different speed depending on how powerful your computer was. Even though the target frame rate was 30 frames per second, it was possible for slower computers to play animations slower than 30 frames per second. The only reason things were this way was due to poor infrastructure architecture which resulted in needlessly poor performance. As we prepare IMVU for even more features, we are allowing ourselves to clean up awful areas of our code like this animation frame rate code. The new fix allows all animations to play at the same speed regardless of what type of computer you are using.
In very few cases, a Creator may have adjusted the Speed Multiplier settings of an animation to try to compensate for the slower frame rate. With the new fix in place, this will make their animations run fast. So, if you are one of those Creators who had adjusted your animations using the Speed Multiplier setting, you can easily fix your animations by changing the setting to 0′. If you are a customer who has discovered one of these animations, please let us know by commenting below and we will work with the Creator to make the adjustment.

I also know that most of the IMVU animation exporters for Max, Blender, Sketchup, etc ...; account for this 30 FPS max and export animation frames accordingly. Increasing the FPS of the client could severely mess up animation timing if not done correctly ... and would simply have no affect at all on many animations. Imagine trying to run 60 fps when the animation only contains 30 frames of source material. A good graphics card could probably fill in the missing gaps ...
I've seen videos over the years of people playing around with their graphics card settings to improve IMVU's fps or to max it out.

It would be cool to increase the FPS of the game. If someone succeeds. Let me know

I do play a little bit with my graphics drivers to fix IMVU's terrible aliasing. But as you see, even if you do change the "target fps", it is still capped at 30 fps. One person contacted me, saying that using cheat engine unlocks that. I have tried so, and it really did, but I don't know if it is safe to keep using this.
Other thing I remember seeing years ago in the client settings, was a animation slider to control the speed of them. I don't think that did increase the fps though. Either way, sadly that setting is gone for years.

@Ubiytsa
Do you have a tutorial on using cheat engine to increase the max fps?
Perhaps we can work off of that and code something up.

It's the "speedhack" option. Not sure it really unlocks fps or just speeds everything up.
