it's a possibility on any forums. you should always take precaution's to keep yourself from being out of some ca$h. but like any other forums. members have ranks, and even reputation status good or bad. so for your safety of not getting scammed you should always buy from a trusted member.

It has happened here. Look for people with good karma or a good number of posts if you're looking to buy credits or packages, this is what we consider as credibility around here.
If you're looking to buy software or BM rooms, furniture or poses, Don is a trustworthy person. Just as DataMine for software, also as they are the admins of the forums, can't get scammed by those two, sure thing.

When choosing a seller, look at the seller's trust level, karma, and karma comments on their profile. All of our sellers go through background checks and have to prove themselves to the family before they are allowed to sell, but some sellers are more reliable and more responsive than others. Scams on our market are rare, scammers are dealt with quickly and harshly.
Reading our market rules and making sure your seller follows them is another great way to protect yourself.
