Hi everyone. Is there ANY WAY possible to mute users on the regular IMVU client? I was hoping to dig up a chat code or something—like how you can boot someone with a chat code, for example. Since users can mute on mobile and lite, it should be possible, right? I really enjoy Lite, but my acc is a decade old and I'm a bit afraid to use it all the time.

I'm asking because there's a troll coming into a pub room I frequent (just joins just about daily) and applies as many flashy KB's (and lightsoff product) as possible until everyone in the room crashes. Since none of us are mods, we can't boot her. I was hoping to have a mute solution that I can share with my friends so she'll stop being an issue.

If you have any suggestions, that'd be great.

IMVU Lite is safer than the vanilla client.

The official IMVU client is full of spyware that mines personal data off of your computer from over 120 different sources (including but not limited to your address, phone number, full name, hardware ID's, software keys, and all sorts of tracking data) ... which then IMVU inc sells to third parties.

IMVU Lite is lite for a reason ... all of the malicious code is ripped out ... and then some.

Thats good to know. I was told a lot of accounts get banned for using Lite though, that's my biggest concern. Saw your reply in another thread about mute feature. Bummed but noted.

Since all of IMVU's tracking code is removed from IMVU Lite, it is impossible for IMVU staff to tell if you are using IMVU Lite ... unless you straight up tell them. No one in all of the years we have made IMVU Lite, has ever reported back to us as receiving a ban for it.

Now, there are some really sketchy third party clients out there ... clients other than IMVU Lite, made by people who don't know what they are doing. Those clients can get you banned if the people who make them fail to remove all of IMVU inc's tracking code and spyware.

I have been using imvu lite since the very beginning it was created...and its perfect...I am really thankful to Don And DM for making this and spending so much time for updates/etc .... we appreciate you a lot....Thank You very much.
