If both people sit on them and are using the windows desktop version of IMVU, yes.

Well sadly there's no possible ways to whisper an another person if one of you doesn't have VIP

Technically it is "possible" ... you can h4c|< the client in a way that makes it "possible", but IMVU staff keeps watch on that. If the server detects two people without VIP whispering to each other ... the system autobans them.

I'm sure this has already been established but... You can whisper as long as one IMVU member is VIP.

Is it by any chance possible for IMVU to have an innate bug to confuse name purchasing with VIP on the whispering part ?

This is unfortunate, and it's not worth an account ban for whispering someone by mistake. Does imvu lite have by any chance whispering unlocked, and that to trigger that situation, whispering between non VIP accounts ?

IMVU Lite does not have whispering unlocked. At one point of time, the mafia version of T3DE did ... years ago (T3DE is another custom client, with all of the admin features of the client unlocked), but we removed that whispering feature from T3DE a few months before everything went to shit. Our scientists caught the potential for disaster via extensive testing before IMVU staff started implementing mass bans. Thus, we suffered zero casualties. The customers of one of our competitors at the time ... were not so fortunate.
