IMVU Walkoff cheating or strategy?

Hey guys! It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to get some feedback from people who play walkoff on imvu. I hadn't played in years and a friend invited me to play. I got my ass handed to me, twice.

It was still fun but I was confused about the use of power moves. I think that's what the little color circles are that give bonuses. Anyways, I was told that using the bonuses is considered cheating. I don't understand that since they're part of the game and using them just seems like strategy.

If you guys play, I'd love to know your thoughts. Is it common courtesy to NOT use the bonuses? The game was entertaining and I'd like to play again whenever I have time to kill but I don't want to possibly offend other players.

Been a long time sense I played the game. In my opinion, use them if they are a part of the game and available to both players. Otherwise if you and the other play want to agree not to use them I would respect that.

that was my thought on it. There was nothing mentioned before starting. It was a friendly game and he was giving me feedback because I remember playing a long time ago and the last person I played with mentioned that I had cheated. I didn't know the person and couldn't have cared less but I remembered that while playing this time around. It just piqued my interest.

You could train a bot to play the game for you. If it is based on colors and shapes ... I imagine you could train a bot to recognize those colors and shapes ... and press the appropriate keys for you at the right time.

Are there rewards involved with this game?

the game is on the imvu client. I don't think there are rewards, I just started playing for fun since a friend invited me. It's not a huge deal but I wasn't sure if I was committing some game nono.

I didn't win. I got my ass handed to me this time, 62 to 102 out of 100. Ugh the shame lol last time was so long ago that I don't recall.
