Talking to an IMVU staff worker today she said she was told by one of her friends that is also a imvu staff worker and was told to hold off renewing her VIP to the new system right now. She said lots of changes are being made still. I for one think they tryed to come out with this new system before they were ready. Just think for a sec. Those that do have the new VIP tires for this month and you payed for your service you still cant use all your benefits your paying for. You cant use voice chat for one but did they give you a discount? I bet not. I was told also as long as you didn't let your VIP elapsed you could still still with the old client because it still works. Not true now. They money hungry and cant even get there system up and running properly before ripping people off. false advertisement and yet they get by with it because so many people allow it and think what a great job they are doing. I write them and tell them I want my 50 buck vip imvu card sell for the yr. Why do people want to settle for 5 bucks or 10 bucks and get less now and pay out of your ass? IMVU does realize they are fixing to lose a lot of players and most like me that support there site. So they can start listening to what we want or lose there site. Will be up to them now.

@Reemy

im glad that i paid for 1 year of vip before the new vip tiers came out! they said that as long as u dont cancel ur current vip u wont be forced to buy the new vip tiers until the current one expires...sadly u can't buy the old vip :( also if they're planning on bringing voice chat then why not release this new vip system once voice out comes out? also $20 a month is alot...that's $240 for a year! much rather pay $75 for a year :/ i doubt they'll reconsider the new vip despite how many people complain about it....but yeah once people are forced to buy the new vip they'll probably leave and yeah....they'll lose a lot of people which isn't good...

Got Tiered VIP Questions?

Hey ***********,

You've heard about our brand new Tiered VIP and we want to help make the transition as smooth as possible, especially for our legacy VIPs. If you are currently on the legacy VIP plan, there will be no change to your plan, benefits, nor payment. In fact, we will be honoring your current VIP subscription for another year.

Please note that we are no longer offering Legacy VIP for purchase on IMVU. This means if you choose to leave Legacy VIP or if your subscription lapses for any reason when you're ready to be VIP again you'll only have the option of purchasing Tiered VIP.

If you purchase a Tiered VIP membership while still on Legacy VIP, you will receive all the new benefits (i.e. Hosting, ability to collect tips in Live Rooms, and more), in addition to the Legacy VIP benefits (i.e. Credits, additional rooms, and more).

The new Tiered VIP Program has three options:
1. Gold ($4.99)
2. Platinum ($9.99) - same price as current VIP
3. Diamond ($19.99)

You are only able to access our Tiered VIP-exclusive features while on the new VIP plan.

Got VIP Questions? We've Got Answers:
• How is the Tiered VIP Program different than the Old VIP program?
• How do I upgrade my VIP status?
• Is VIP available on mobile?

For further questions join the VIP-only discussion forum or reach IMVU's customer support team.

With the new Tiered VIP Program, you receive all the same benefits PLUS receive Hosting benefits, which include the ability to receive tips in Live Rooms! For more information on the benefits and features that come with each tier, please click here.

Cheers,
IMVU

I got that message today from imvu. So i guess sending in the surveys and complaining is helping a lil. But know it wont shut me up till I see we all get what we want from our site. We are the ones who play at that site and give that site our hard earn money. If IMVU wants our money and wants us to stay then they need to make the changes we the players are asking for. If we don't make a stand together we wont see the results we all want. Make your voices heard. Send in your surveys, Messages, Letters , tech support chat. What ever it takes for you as an individual to be heard do it now. You have a right to be heard. You have a right to see changes made to make your time on the site fun, exciting, beneficial and easy to use. I dont want a site for one more yr then enter into hell lol... Come on people dont fall for there games there starting. Win a free month of VIP just send in your best imvu pic. All scam to get you to change over with out thinking. I hope things work out for us all. Hugs

yeah i checked the vip discussion forum and i see a lot of people not happy about the tiers yikes!! i really hope that someone is able to bring it up to a higher up staff at imvu and see if they can reconsider....but honestly though...if they're planning on bringing voice chat then why not release the tiers when voice chat comes out? but i did see that people mentioned that voice chat was taken away cuz people were just screaming at each other with voice chat on...sooo....uhhh yeah o-o

I haven't had a chance to check out the voice thing but I kind of thought it would be use for a person hosting a room for a function or a charity or DJ. You know where only one person talks and everyone else enjoys what's going on. Don't take long for someone or a few people to mess up a good thing.

@Reemy

oh boy, lots of angry ppl on that VIP tiers thread.

well, i hope imvu staff reports this to the pointy-haired managers that came up with this idiotic plan to tier VIP.

and i guess i'll be letting my legacy VIP expire. i wonder how many others will do the same, and whether this money grab will actually work out for IMVU?

To my understanding, according to an IMVU staff announcement from about a year ago, the classic client is going to continue support till windows stops supporting their 32 bit compatible operating systems. Microsoft already announced Windows 11 will support 32 bit applications. Microsoft only comes out with a new OS about once every 5 years, so the way I see it .... the classic client is going to stay around for at least another 5 year, as long as IMVU staff keeps their word from a year ago.

i really hope that a higher up will actually LISTEN to us and hopefully reconsider...if it's just changing the benefits in the tiers...or making it mobile/next client only? but i understand that it may confuse some people on that part...but either way...i highly doubt they reconsider...they're gonna lose a ton of people... :(

By the way, does anyone here knows if the Giftcards are going to be valid to renew the new vip membership?

oh that's good! but idk how many people have the auto renewal turned on....as for gift cards no one is for sure about it right now. probably that's why the last few times i tried to look for them in stores i couldn't find any was cuz they were prepping for the new vip tiers :/ thus being pulled from stores.... sucks...
