are you gettin' your 4000 credits when makin' a new account?

i had to make some new accounts some time ago and while goin' through the process, i saw that in the classic client where im suppose to get 4000 credits, i didnt. when clickin' each tab like the shop, dress up etc, i didnt get the bonus credits like before. what i also saw was an option to receive rewards in the form of credits by clickin' different tasks on the beta desktop app and it looked like that was the new way to get the past classic client bonus credits

bc the classic client showed a popup message that said i got 4000 credits when i didnt and the number of credits i had stayed the same, i opened a ticket and told imvu. not long after, they manually added the credits

sayin' all this to say if you made an account not too long ago and didnt get 4000 credits, open a ticket with imvu and they will manually add it. idk how long this will go on for but it looks to be a recent thing bc i didnt have this problem earlier in this year or the past

then again, maybe this just happened to me but i have a ss that shows they added the credits by admin but idk how to add it

I thought they just gave you predits on a new account?

they did earlier this year but recently when i made some new accounts, the 4000 credits that you were suppose to get, didnt show up. i never saw any mention of why on imvu or here so thats why i made this post. even when i opened a ticket i wasnt told why i didnt get the credits but the rep gave them to me with zero questions asked.

Have you tried using a VPN to change your IP address between new accounts? This lack of predits on new accounts might be a security feature to prevent someone from flooding the market with predits or manipulating sales via multi-accounting; probably IP / cookie / device fingerprint based ... etc

Yes idid experience the same….and someone ask me about it too….and what i did was i after many try of different kind like vpn etc….i uninstall imvu classic then restart then made an account then after that reinstall the version of imvu classic i want then sign in with the new account…..as Don said,……i think this is a security feature……try it…..i hope imvulite would add a feature of some sort to solve this problem on new account not getting predits…..Goodluck….try it…let us know if it works for you…..

To me it seems like they have made the credits earnable by quests. Hence why everyone that was registered before this change got a few credits for completing some of the quests. The new user quests seem to be giving a lot of credits. I havent done all of them cuz i personally dont wanna use the new imvu client but it seems like you should get about 4000. It reminds me of the old days in the classic client.

Hmm i wonder if it's to get the new users to become more interactive with the site or new client as well as stopping all the bots from getting the credits for free and then using them to boost up product sales or something.

I think the same too….that is the reason why i tried to delete imvu….then made a new account then install imvu classic…and log in…..and it gave me the free 4000 credits….but i think you have to do this each time you make a new account….

Well they're only predits so you cant really send them to your other accounts or anything. I think its mainly set up to increase engagement for new users and to walk them through the application
